Hi:
What is the difference between the animation exported from MAYA by MSP and Geometry Cache of MAYA itself?
  Thanks!

.gab is MachStudio Pro’s proprietary animation format that is created when you export from software such as Maya or Max.

The .gab is a “proprietary” format which is able contain a far greater range-types of animation data then the Maya Cache as well as being more efficient at playback… We are not in a position to expound more on our proprietary format on a public forum.

However, we have created an export SDK which may clarify somethings for you…(please contact studio|gpu training and support for more details).

May I ask, what are you looking for in these differences? is there something you are trying to do with a Maya cache that MSP is not supporting? What will this knowledge gain you. Perhaps we can help clarify what you are looking for.
